Facing Fears
I did it. Last night, instead of going out and avoiding what I’ve been dreading, I finally dove into the mess that is my storage room/closet. I’ve written about it. It’s one of the main items on my to-do list and the reason why I haven’t made time to find my next career move. I have so much in the storage room that the purging has truly, become one of my current part-time jobs.
It takes time to reduce your life to more manageable chunks. You need time to look at the things and cull. And I’d been putting this off.
I took out the piles of clothes and began to sort. Some of the things, I knew I wouldn’t ever wear again so without hesitation, I’ve stacked them in a “To Swap” pile. Some things are pretty or usefull, l but I know I’d never actually find any use for them so I have a “To Give” pile. I was thinking of walking around the neighborhood and carrying a few of the smaller items around and just randomly find people to gift them to. Of course, I would be discerning and approach only those who seemed friendly.
Baby steps.
